Important Note: Before you read any further I want to define the term “evolution” since the media and professors purposely equivocate when using the term so as to include transitions from one species to another while only providing evidence of transitions within a species. EVERYONE believes in transitions within a species in what some call “micro-evolution”, but Intelligent Design and Creationists patently deny “macro-evolution” (changes from one species to another) as the evidence clearly demonstrates as lacking. In this post I am referring to Macro-evolution as the fairytale. Here is the sneaky logic behind the equivocation of the term “evolution”:
If I get them to buy this as evolution for which we have evidence:
Then students will embrace this as evolution for which we have NO evidence:
Since no evidence exists for macro-evolution only false conjectures, those whom hold this position always equivocate, then point to micro-evolution evidence, and make you say “whoa, look at the science!” I would argue that adaptation or changes within a species demonstrates incredible design!!! Now to my post:

Among some of the fallacies are the numerous ape-man frauds in anthropology and the total silence in the fossil record of transitional forms. As we explore these frauds and fallacies you will see just how blinding philosophical assumptions can be if they are not constantly revisited. The philosophy of the day is materialism and naturalism which rests on the assumption that matter is all that matters, for it is the sum total of reality. However, this metaphysical assumption isn’t even logically coherent as Philosopher William Lane Craig establishes in a recent article in the Washington Post that can be found here.
Below are three examples of ape-man discoveries that interestingly enough were not discovered until after Darwin’s Origin of the Species was published. Seems like anthropologists had new eyes to “see” ape-men in the bone fragments like a child “sees” teddy bears in the clouds. These three examples that turned out to be frauds and wishful thinking are only a few of the many other examples that exist.
It could be maintained that the discovery of Peking man (Homo erectus) is a pure conjecture laced with selfish ambition and financial gain. As Hank Hanegraaff (1998) explains:
Peking man was originally based on a dusty old tooth. It was conveniently discovered in China just as Canadian physician Davidson Black was about to run out of funds for his evolutionary explorations in 1927. The Rockefeller Foundation rewarded this discovery with a generous grant, permitting Black to continue digging (p.55).
In addition to the tooth discovered by Black, the evolutionary community found fourteen skulls and an assortment of tools and teeth. Immediately the deduction was made by the evolutionists that these finds indicated tool-using apes. All fourteen skulls turned up missing by the end of WWII leaving behind only photographs and castings of the skulls. Apart from the fact that the lower skeletons were missing, the skulls had been bashed in at the base. Since monkey brains are a delicacy in Southeast Asia, one could have deduced that the tools were used on the apes rather than by the apes.
Besides the Peking man conjecture, there is another even wider tale of how an extinct pigs tooth became known among evolutionists as Nebraska man (Hesperopithecus haroldcookii). When news of the discovery hit the London newspaper, there was a picture of not only Nebraska man but also Nebraska mom. Some time after the initial discovery of Nebraska man geologist Harold Cook found an identical tooth and attached it to the skull of a wild pig. The supposed monkey-to-human transition that was introduced to the public, complete with a family drawing, ends up being an extinct pigs tooth.

It could be argued; however, that Piltdown man (Eoanthropus dawsoni) is probably the most notorious of all of the ape-man frauds. There are more speculations about who carried out the forgery than there are bone fragments that were discovered. Unearthed in 1912 by Charles Dawson, an amateur naturalist, his find included a piece of a jaw, skull fragments, and two teeth. The findings were not determined to be a fraud until 1953. The jaw of an ape was stained to make it appear as though it had matched the human skull; the Piltdown fossils along with accompanying bones were not only stained but also reshaped.
The Piltdown Gang
Lastly, besides the various ape-man frauds in anthropology, we have a fossil record of over 250,000 species that contain no transitional forms. A Transitional form would be a piece of evidence from the fossil record that shows a species in transition from one type of species to another. If the theory of evolution were a fact, there would be thousands of these transitions contained in the fossil record. Darwin himself maintained that the fossil record would eventually prove his theory, but just the opposite can be stated. For instance, there currently exist no transitional forms in the fossil record that show a species changing from a fish to a frog. I might add that scientists do see transitions within a species. The important thing to remember here is the fact that the species stay true to type. For example, due to breeding, there currently exist many sizes and shapes of dogs and horses, but the fact remains that they stay dogs and horses.

Hi, just a note about your introduction. You are wise to define terms and I actually agree with you that macro evolution is defined as transitions between species not within species. micro-evolution in a standard evolution text is as you say transitions (changes) within species. With that good start I’m a bit confused about your use of species after that. Maybe you disagree with most creation scientists but I see the vast majority of then defining micro-evolution differently. For example AIG will calls sheep and goats really the same species because they are the same kind. They also see all canines as having evolved from a single pair on the Ark and thus transitions happen between what I would call species. It could be that you should also define species for your audience as well because if you think that coyotes and wolves and foxes are transitions then you will need a definition of species that is different than the usual definition from a evolution text even though you are using the typical definitions of macro and micro evolution. I would definitely call a wolf and a African wild dog different species and so would call a common ancestry of those macro evolution as you have defined it. I guess I’m not sure where you think macro and micro evoltuion stop and start. Regards, Joel

Hey Joel! First, thanks for your thoughtful comment. You are correct that I do not define the boundaries of micro and marco evolution in this post along with species in any very particular way. There are Christians that have divergent views in the details of these boundaries, and I am open to all of those views within the clear boundaries of the biblical text (special revelation) and the natural “text” of the world (general revelation). So, where does the modern term species and the hebrew word ‘miyn’ translated into English as kinds begin and end? For me in the details of the larger branches I do not care as much and leave that to my more qualified brothers and sisters to debate. My purpose then would be to keep my audience open to that debate and learn because God is the only sovereign one in that debate and I am not the Protestant Pope
. You will notice that in my post that I focus on what is a clear boundary and that is infantile–>reptile—>gentile; i.e., man made in the image of God coming from any monkey (different kind not made in God’s image) that would be the fairy tale. This then is my only boundary because this is “the main thing and plain thing” that cannot be crossed unless one is willing to give their Biblical text stretch marks. Happy New Year!
